What this website collects, how long it is kept, and how to have it removed. The short version is that it is a static site and it collects almost nothing.
First, the thing that matters most
This is a demonstration website for a fictional business. Woodside Daycare, LLC does not exist. It was built to show what can be designed, provisioned, deployed and hosted through MaiaHost. No child is enrolled here, no place can be offered, and every telephone number and permit number on the site is a placeholder.
The contact form is nevertheless real and running, so anything you type into it is genuinely submitted and genuinely delivered as email. Please do not send information about a real child. If you already have, email daycare@bestdealwebdesign.com and it will be deleted.
What the website itself collects
Nothing, in the ordinary browsing case. This is a static site: there is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, no third-party tracker, no cookie set by these pages and no database behind them. Nothing here is loaded from a content delivery network, so no third party learns that you visited by serving you a font or a script.
The web server keeps ordinary access logs — the address requested, the time, the browser's user-agent string and the IP address it came from — which is how any web server on the internet works and how abuse is investigated.
What the contact form collects
Your name, your email address, the subject line and your message, plus the time and the IP address the message came from. That is submitted through MaiaHost's managed contact form and delivered as email. It is used to reply and for nothing else.
The form is spam-resistant by design: the page itself holds no secret, the host issues a single-use token and verifies the submission server-side. That is a property of the managed form rather than anything clever we wrote.
What a real nursery would hold, and why this page cannot describe it
A working nursery holds a great deal about a child: a health form, a full immunisation record, emergency contacts, collection authorisations, allergy plans, daily records of sleep and food, written developmental observations, and incident reports. Some of it is required by the Health Code and its retention is governed by regulation rather than by preference.
None of that exists here, because no child is enrolled. A demonstration site inventing a retention schedule for records it does not hold would be describing a policy nobody operates, so this page does not.
What we do not do with any of it
It is not sold. It is not shared with advertisers, data brokers or anybody else. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it does not follow you to other websites, because there is nothing on these pages capable of doing that.
How long it is kept
Contact form messages arrive as email and sit in a mailbox. Server access logs rotate on the host's own schedule. For this demonstration, the honest answer is that anything you send will sit in that mailbox until somebody asks for it to be removed or the demonstration is taken down.
Your choices
There is no list to unsubscribe from, because there is no list. You can ask for anything held about you to be deleted by emailing daycare@bestdealwebdesign.com, which for this demonstration will simply be done.
Security, stated honestly
The site is served over HTTPS with a certificate issued at provisioning. There is no login, no account and no stored password anywhere on it, which removes an entire category of risk by removing the feature.
None of that makes a public website an appropriate place to send information about a child, which is why the paragraph at the top of this page asks you not to.
Tuesday and Thursday mornings, while the children are here
Come and see the room
A tour here happens during a session, in the room your child would actually be in, at the time of day they would be in it. You meet the person who leads that room rather than only the director, and you see the noise and the mess that are genuinely there. It takes an hour. If your child is three or four we will ask whether you have applied for free 3-K or Pre-K for All before we quote you a rate, because a good many families should not be paying us at all.
